the name itself strikes terror in the hearts of bowlers all around the world. Hailed as the next master-blaster following the legacy of the great West Indian Vivian Richards, this man has all the shots in the book, and a few more. There is nothing this man cannot do - he opens the batting for India in the one-dayers, comes at no. 4 in test matches, bowls rightarm offbreaks, legbreaks and even googlies (the wrong-un). He also swings the ball both ways when he bowls his medium pacers. It seems he had tried his hands at wicket-keeping too (in his school days), but gave it up in pursuit of what he does best - Batting.
Tendulkar is the only Indian cricketer to receive the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, India's highest sporting honour for his performance in 1997-1998.
Playing in the same team as Sachin is a huge honour. His balance of mind, and above all,his technical brilliance make him my all-time hero..

"A mother takes twenty years to make a man of her boy, and another woman makes a fool of him in twenty minutes."
"And nothing to look backward to with pride, and nothing to look forward to with hope."
"But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep."

Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

Oscar Wilde Quotations
Anyone can sympathize with the sufferings of a friend, but it requires a very fine nature to sympathize with a friend's success.
Children begin by loving their parents. After a time they judge them. Rarely, if ever, do they forgive them.
I always like to know everything about my new friends, and nothing about my old ones.
I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.
Ordinary riches can be stolen: real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.
Pessimist: One who, when he has the choice of two evils, chooses both.
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

Henry Ford Quotes
If money is your hope for independence you will never have it. The only real security that a man can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability.
If there is any great secret of success in life, it lies in the ability to put yourself in the other person's place and to see things from his point of view - as well as your own.
Most people spend more time and energy going around problems than in trying to solve them.
Paying attention to simple little things that most men neglect makes a few men rich.
The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.
The man who will use his skill and constructive imagination to see how much he can give for a dollar, instead of how little he can give for a dollar, is bound to succeed.
There is one rule for industrialists and that is: make the best quality goods possible at the lowest cost possible, paying the highest wages possible.
Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right.
You say I started out with practically nothing, but that isn't correct.

Duty and Love.
If you act out of the idea of duty, you are forcing yourself;
it means you are following a certain discipline taught by the society.
Duty is something forced upon you; you ‘have to’ do it.
Duty is a social obligation; it is a commitment not because of love.
Duty is social; duty is legal.
Duty is a burden, a formality.
If your act is out love then it has a different fragrance,
through your act you are sharing your joy.
Love is out of the desire to share; it is your total response.
Love is your joy; it is of your own heartbeats,
Love is being responsible; it is out of your own experience of joy.
Love is flowing; love is rejoicing.
Love is freedom, it is informal.
Duty is a false substitute for love.
Let all your action born out of love.
quotes- john keats
"A proverb is no proverb to you until life has illustrated it."
"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness; but still will keep a bower quiet for us, and a sleep full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing..."
"Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter."
"I have been astonished that men could die martyrs for religion - I have shuddered at it. I shudder no more - I could be martyred for my religion - Love is my religion - I could die for that."
"I love you the more that I believe you have liked me for my own sake and for nothing else."
"Tis the witching hour of night,
Orbed is the moon and bright,
And the stars they glisten, glisten,
Seeming with bright eyes to listen
For what listen they?"
"Nothing ever becomes real till it is experienced."

"A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool."
"And since you know you cannot see yourself,
so well as by reflection, I, your glass,
will modestly discover to yourself,
that of yourself which you yet know not of."
"Be great in act, as you have been in thought."
"Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them."
"Beauty is all very well at first sight; but whoever looks at it when it has been in the house three days?"
"Better three hours too soon than a minute too late."
"But love is blind and lovers cannot see
The pretty follies that themselves commit;
For if they could, Cupid himself would blush
To see me thus transformed to a boy."
"Cowards die many times before their deaths,
The valiant never taste of death but once."
